2017 SUMMER PICNIC
...as reported by Ed Janot
The weather was warm, not hot, a light breeze, lots of shade and no mosquitos – a perfect day for a summer picnic. Again, as in recent years, hosts Karen & Wilfried Kopp provided the idyllic setting at their acreage near Leduc.

Keg beer was provided by choir patrons Peter Renz and Paul Lokstadt. Bartender, Alwin kept everyone’s thirst slaked all afternoon. At 4:00pm coffee & all choir members wives gourmet cakes were served. And, as in past years Odo cooked up his specialty – beer can chicken – par excellence! Cosmos restaurant of Leduc catered to the picnic, served out of Karen & Wilf’s atrium. Karen, the hostess, served strawberries from her own garden.
In recognition for hosting the picnic, Karen & Wilf were awarded a donation to their favorite charity – the Chagas Project – check out on website
