There are many, many historical churches throughout Europe. They are magnets for travellers who come to wonder at the achievements of builders of medieval times. The architecture, the paintings, the sculptures and the craftsmanship - each has a unique story to tell of how, when and why the church was built. However, what is unique about this church is the description by the church sexton who was on hand to tell visitors about the church. He began with the usual historical account of the church and its art, but then he went on to relate following about the special properties of the space.

The octagonal shaped church is focussed on a center marked spot where all axes meet and is located at the highest point of the church domed ceiling. This arrangement of geometry is said to collect energy from all directions and focussed to this point. If one stands and meditates on this spot for five to ten minutes with eyes closed, one would may be infused with an energy that would elevate their spirit and give rise to an out of body experience. When my travelling companion tried this little experiment in the world of wonder, he came away with tears in his eyes and told me he was able to communicate with his departed mother. Also, many of his past discretions were brought to mind, resolved and he came away with a feeling of peace.
